Danville CERT assists with tornado damage

danville cert tornado assist"I absolutely could not have done it without our CERT members," said Danville Emergency Coordinator Doug Young regarding the recent tornado that damaged the city. CERT members performed an initial damage assessment and canvassed the damaged areas for residents needing assistance. One CERT member located a resident who needed oxygen and was able to quickly get assistance. Young felt that the work of the CERT allowed the city to receive state assistance more quickly.
