On any given day in Virginia, fire departments are called upon to respond to brush fires, structure fires, airplane crashes, bomb threats, floods, hazardous material spills, water or ice rescues, vehicle crashes/fires, technological disasters or terrorism threats and incidents.

When you choose to volunteer with your local fire department through the Fire Corps program, you will make a real difference for Virginia by providing critical non-emergency support. Some possible volunteer activities include:
