Course: Damage Assessment Training

Thank you for selecting the Damage Assessment for IA/PA Training Course. The Virginia Department of Emergency Management is announcing a series of damage assessment training workshops to train personnel on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) standard for conducting disaster damage assessments of residential dwellings, businesses, and public infrastructure. Local government personnel or volunteers with specific responsibility for overseeing field damage assessments and personnel who actually record damages in the field should attend this training. This training equips the localities to do their Initial Damage Assessments of private residences, businesses, and public infrastructure after a disaster. We also discuss the responsibilities localities have in working with the state and FEMA on Joint Preliminary Damage Assessments.
