Disaster Cost Recovery Workshops

Information and Registration

The Virginia Department of Emergency Management is sponsoring a series of Disaster Cost Recovery Workshops throughout the Commonwealth during the months of May and June. These half-day workshops will be targeted to local employees who are responsible for documenting disaster work.

Discussions will cover tips and techniques that local finance departments, public works departments, and police and fire departments need to ensure that all eligible costs can be reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Methods for correctly inspecting and documenting damaged sites, properly recording labor and equipment hours, and completing required finance forms will be discussed.
